WALK WITH OUR PIONEERS
― A COLLECTION is a collection of articles about the early history of Douglas County. Many are the original articles written by lifetime resident Josephine Lowell Marr (1899-1993), who informed, entertained, and touched readers by sharing her extensive knowledge of Douglas County history. Honored with the title
Historian of Douglas County in 1970 by the Douglas County Historical Society, her pride in the county she loved is evident in these articles published in the Douglas County News
between 1968 and 1976.

"Preserving history in a time honored manner of recounting stories of one generation to another was her special talent...that talent is a gift that continues to give through her written words."
